In early summer 2021 it looked like we were coming out of the pandemic. A good friend came to visit from the east coast and we took a road trip down to Los Angeles to visit some friends there and go to some museums. We had all been vaccinated against Covid-19 and were excited to go somewhere and see something.
Emerging back out into the world was a bit of a shock to the system. We went to the LACMA museum and saw some wonderful artwork, including Metropolis II by Chris Burden. I made a series of slow motion videos of his work as it ran, then constructed this video from the pieces.
